Description

Kichton Contracting is seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team. Kichton Contracting Ltd (KCL) has been in business since 1963 and is based out of Acheson, Alberta, Canada. KCL is classified as a medium-sized civil earthworks contractor. Our work ranges from residential earthworks, commercial site development, to industrial projects. Our services include grading design for all types of new commercial and industrial sites along with retrofitting existing sites to accommodate new site development.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Operate skid steer to perform various tasks such as grading, backfilling, loading and material handling
  • Able to set up laser and read blueprints
  • Able to read and understand grading stakes/drawings and clean tracks
  • Maneuver equipment in tight spaces, construction sites and other challenging environments
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues to the Site Superintendent or Site Foreman
  • Work in a safe manner, identifying and reporting any hazards
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Out-of-town work may be available

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Minimum of 1 years of previous experience working as a Skid Steer Operator
  • Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Valid CSTS2020 certification (free online course through ACSA)
  • Ground Disturbance and First Aid would be an asset
Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Saturday
  • 10-12 hour shifts per day
  • Overtime if required

Compensation

$24.00 - $32.00 per hour
