Kichton Construction LP is seeking a Parts Runner to join our Fort McMurray team and support our busy Maintenance and Field Operations. This role is responsible for ensuring parts, tools, materials, and supplies get where they need to be—quickly and safely.
You’ll travel throughout the Fort McMurray area, including Alberta oilsands project sites, supporting our maintenance crews and helping keep our heavy equipment operating efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Pick up and deliver parts, tools, materials, and supplies from suppliers and our Fort McMurray office to various project sites.
- Support the Maintenance team with timely delivery of heavy equipment parts and materials.
- Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials.
- Operate 1-ton trucks and trailers in a variety of weather and road conditions.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain a clean and safe company vehicle.
- Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.
- Communicate with maintenance, field, and site personnel to coordinate deliveries.
- Follow all company, site, and safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience driving 1-ton trucks and pulling trailers.
- Strong knowledge of the Fort McMurray area and oilsands operations.
- Excellent driving skills and confidence operating in winter and challenging road conditions.
- Experience in construction, mining, heavy equipment, or maintenance environments is an asset.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment parts is a strong asset.
- Reliable, organized, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety
- Can work independently.
- Excellent route planning and time management skills.
- Polite and professional demeanor - supplier facing position.
Compensation & Benefits
- $24.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- 12-hour workdays.
- Overtime paid after 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
- 9.6% vacation and statutory holiday pay on all regular hours.
- Choice of 14 days on / 7 days off schedule.
