Kichton Construction LP is the Fort McMurray based Heavy Civil entity within the Kichton Group of companies which has been operating since 1963. Kichton Construction LP commenced operations in 2019 as the industrial division of the Kichton Group to serve the Energy and Mining Industries throughout North America. Since inception, KCLP has grown sustainably and exponentially, starting with 30 experienced team members in 2019, to now over 400 team members and over 300 pieces of heavy equipment. KCLP is proud to continue operating alongside our Community Partner, the Chipewyan Prairie First Nation, as part of our NOHA/Kichton Joint-Venture.
Location/Job Details
- 90 kms North of Fort McMurray - Fort Hills & Syncrude MLX
- 14 days on, 7 days off. Day and Night Shifts.
- 12 hours per day, paid for 11.5.
- Camp accommodations and flights out of Edmonton or Calgary provided for Fort Hills.
- No camp for Syncrude but buses to and from Fort McMurray to Site. $100 per work day LOA for Syncrude project.
What You’ll Be Doing
- As a Fuel and Lube technician you will be responsible for the lubrication service and maintenance of a variety of equipment including, Excavators, Dozers, Rock Trucks, Heavy Haulers, Graders, Scrapers and Loaders.
- Diagnosing & completing preventive maintenance on all company equipment.
- Greasing booms, pulleys, buckets, and other components of heavy equipment.
- Lubricating running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks, or heavy equipment.
- Performing work effectively and safely in shops or outdoor construction site environments.
- Ensuring service trucks are kept clean, organized, and always maintained properly and ready for use.
- Championing our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.
- Showcasing your exceptional judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrating your versatility by collaborating effectively with team members and independently taking ownerships of tasks.
Compensation/Benefits
- OT after 8 hours per day or 40 hours in a week.
- $2.00 per hour increase after 90 days subject to a successfully performance review.
- 9.6% Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay on all regular hours paid out bi-weekly.

Qualification
- Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be physically fit. Able to climb ladders and get on top and under machinery.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Fuel and Lube Technician.
- Previous experience driving a fuel truck preferred.
- Class 3 driver's license preferred.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Comfortable driving at night, in adverse whether and on rough terrain.
- Shift and start times are subject to change.
Compensation
$30.00 - $36.00 per hour
